Pressman and Jeff Most Executive Producers: Alessandro Camon and Daymond John Co-Producers: Greg Woertz, Stephen Belafonte, and John Saviano Screenplay: Lance Mungia & Jeff Most Composer: Jamie Christopherson The premise of Wicked Prayer, the movie, is loosely based on the same-name novel by Norman Partridge. There are many elements of the movie's premise that are different from the book, to include all new character names and in many instances, all new characters. For those that have read the novel and are familiar with the characters from it, we felt it would help you out to know what characters have been kept for the movie, with their new names, and those that are totally new. Here is a glossary of those characters. We will update this glossary as more characters/actor are announced. Jimmy Cuervo (Edward Furlong) - Jimmy Cuervo (Edward Furlong) - Jimmy is an altered version of Dan Cody from the novel. He has a totally different back-story. Jimmy is an ex-con, 23-years-old (one of the few "white men" in the town), currently working as a self-employed mechanic. Lily Ignites The Dawn (Emmanuelle Chriqui) - Lily is the same character as Leticia Dreams The Truth from the novel. Lily basically retains the same back-story. Lily is 21 years old. Her mix of Native American and European decent has given her raven black hair and blue eyes. She is the idealistic spokesperson for the local Native American community town. Luc Crash/Death (David Boreanaz) Luc is an altered version of the character Johnny Church from the novel. In the novel, Johnny was a supporting character role to Kyra Damon. In the movie, Luc is the leader of the "Four Horseman" gang and a local ex-con. Luc is 25 years old, though his tough up bringing and size make him appear to be older. He thinks he can make a deal with the devil in order to get back at the tribe he hates because an Indian murdered his father. Lola Byrne (Tara Reid) - Lola is an altered version of the Kyra Damon character from the novel. Lola, though not as in control, still retains many of the same character elements of Kyra, with a somewhat different back-story. Lola is a 21-year-old blonde punk witch that is known for her toughness. El Nino (Dennis Hopper) - El Nino is slightly based on a combination of Raymundo (He is not a shrunken head) and the minister Brian Brunswick Cook from the novel. El Nino is a short in stature man who is both a satanic priest and cholo pimp. Harold /Tribal Counsel Leader (Danny Trejo) - Harold is a new character exclusive to the movie. He is the father of Lily & Tanner as well as the Tribal Counsel leader for the Native American community. Though the leader, Harold is viewed by most of his flock as being a fool. War (Marcus Chong) - War is a new character exclusive to the movie. He is a member of the "Four Horseman" gang. War is African American, a mine demolition expert. His brothers were killed when a faulty mine shaft collapsed. He is the one member of the "Four Horseman" that Luc counts on the most. Famine (Tito Ortiz) - Famine is a new character exclusive to the movie. He is another of the "Four Horseman" gang. Famine is half breed fry cook at the local mining roach coach, serving up meals with his own special brand of salsa. Famine is bitter because he can't cash in on his tribe's new wealth. Pestilence (Yuji Okumoto) - Pestilence is a new character exclusive to the movie. He is one of the "Four Horseman" gang. Pestilence is of Asian decent. He has worked a good part of his life in a tribal owned mine. He's now dying of lung cancer thanks to toxic waste poison and wants revenge He fancies himself a modern day cowboy. Sheriff Tanner (David Ortiz) - Tanner is a new character exclusive to the movie. He is the inexperienced Sheriff of the town as well as Lily's brother. Proud Foot Joe (Daymond John) - Joe is a new character exclusive to the movie. Proud Foot Joe is the local caretaker and all around "Johnny on the spot". Mechanic's Wife (Rena Owen) - Character exclusive to the movie. Wife of a local mechanic whose son and Jimmy Cuervo have a history together. El Nino Guard (Macy Gray) - A new character exclusive to the movie. She is the lead bodyguard for "El Nino". Fancies having double pistols at her side. Cortez (Jorge Jimenez) - A new character exclusive to the movie. He is part of the posse that is pulled together to hunt down Jimmy Cuervo. |
